Went out and got me a charger earlier...

Ok ok... I'll try and get a pic this weekend lol. You pushy sods.

It's kept in a car storage place that's 20mins away at present, as they have some hydraulic ramps and engine/axle cranes, and they lock up at 6pm

Before I can use it (more than the blast up the road when it turned up :D) I need to take most of it's mechanical parts apart and replace the seals, grease, fluids etc, as well as replace or repair the damaged bits, as although the top end was replaced recently, it was the only major thing done to it since being imported from Nevada a year ago, where it lived in a barn for 15 years hardly touched.

The last thing I want is for the tranny to go, as they appear to be an arse to source.

The intention is to rebuild it all over the next 6-8 months and have it ready for next summer.

Beware the drum brakes, they're shite!! A business partner on my best friend has one and it's one scary mo'fo to drive. Buckets of go and naff all braking...........a proper beastie though. remenber, straight lines only......it's an american Muscle car.

Yay!

You'll have to have a look at the back page of Evo magazine next time you're in Tesco, there's an interview with Jonny Smith (of Fifth Gear fame) and his '68 Charger.

If you get stuck, I can point you to a couple of bars in Manchester. :poke:

Lol siftah... I won't even ask why you know of such places ;)

I shall go hunt an evo copy tomorrow then methinks.

Thanks for the break warning - I was surprised how spongy they felt, but thought rebuilding them would resolve it. Maybe not then lol.

Corner-wise, totally aware it's out turned by a frigate, but these are all about off-the-lights brutality... Which is exactly what appealed to me; mentally overpowered cars that are entirely useless at everything but dragging down the straights :-D

(and maybe a mental amount of oversteer at the smallest hint of a bend)

Look forward to seeing the pics. :driving:

on another note/have u posted my t-shirt out,or were u planning on handing them out at wales meet?
(i would prefer to have it before then, though) cheers

what engine is in it? Or did I miss that as I read through the posts

You have to understand "I was a teenager during the Muscle Car heydays over here", my fave was the Boss 351 Mustang. It came out when I was in grade 9 (Around 13 or 14 yrs old)
