not bad weather so i thought id go for a blast (while i can still afford to buy petrol!!) have to say not a good day, the roads are in such an appalling state i spent the whole time with one eye about 20 yards in front watching for craters and the other 100 yards ahead watching where the road was going. its got beyond a joke for me gordon brown saying he will GIVE £1 million to repair the potholes and when is it going to happen i dont see any holes being filled but many more appearing every day, for goodness sake this is only a tiny fraction of what he bleeds form motorists, and when is it going to happen? any way hes getting far more than that on 1st april when the tax on petrol goes up 2p one things for sure i wont be taxing my harley until the roads are repaired (far too valuable)

You'll have to take a trip to Wales then - even the worst farm tracks in Wales are in a better condition that most of the normal roads - mainly due to lack of traffic though.

Even the ones through slate 'mines'...

I've been getting more and more pi**ed off with the roads over recent weeks. My trip to my current client co has left me wanting to ditch the client for another (but I'm too professional to do that), or buy a second 'beater' car quickly it's that bad.
An army town I drive through has had the potholes repaired, but the repairs are so bad it looks like they just threw some tarmac off of a moving vehicle to try to fill them. Even the small potholes have not been finished right. They're now like little mounds in the road but even though some are just small holes (in diameter), they've left gaps in them so pretty soon the patch will just break down again.

Arghhh, I have another £420 or whatever it is road tax to pay in July too.

My rear suspension I think is buggered (one pothole crash to many), and as usual if I want a courtesy car I have to wait until April 29th to take it in (including a service at the same time).
