At the risk of turning this into a forum where more threads are on boilers, radiators and DIY, I'm going to add one...

Anyone have and using a WeMo camera?

I've started to equip the house with WEMO sockets and now can control mood lighting with sophisticated timers (on is controlled by dusk +/- minutes, off by fixed time, etc.) One on the coffee machine planned, so I can switch it on from my home office and more planned. All operates from iPhone.

Now I'm thinking of trying a couple of the cameras as security cameras and would be interested if anyone has experience of them. The downside seems to be lack of automated recording if motion is detected, rather you get an email??

I have a belkin 7602 wemo camera which i used to replace my ageing foscam ipcamera.

Works fine, the ip interface is pretty easy... And the motion detection recording is handled by my synology NAS using surveillance station.... Didnt even need to change the camera setup in that from the foscam!

Picture quality is fine for surveillance daytime colours are distored(red often looks like pink) but the nightvision is perfectly adequate.

Also has an intercom function... Which over the internet has a but of a lag and tbh hardly use that feature!
