Got back late last night, but managed to get the photos uploaded.

Some of the wusses with more than one car decided to bring their daily drivers instead of their ///Ms (due to the weather), and so were left behind when overtaking chances were infrequent - serves them right :P

Sunday was the most evenly matched day with 2 e34 M5s a M3 CSL and my Z4MC, which meant we could keep up a good pace all day.

It wasn't meant to be a photo opportunity tour, but people needed to stop to 'stretch their legs' now and then, so we took the opportunity to take a few snaps at the same time.

The roads around the Elan Valley lakes were ruined on Saturday due to them deciding to let very unfit & IMHO ugly people run on them without closing them to traffic :headbang:

Great pics

We ended up kind of following your "Friday" route on Sunday, went over to Barmouth for Chips by the seaside then looped back up through Snowdonia and around Bala. Weather got steadily worse but generally it was very quiet and we had most roads to ourselves 8)

Did I miss something, what happened to your wing ?

I like this one:

A lorry decided he didn't like me using the 2nd lane (which ends at a merge) in a traffic jam and pulled into my lane to block me.
I still had plenty of space so went to drive around him, so he decided to increase his share of my lane.

I gave up playing 'chicken' and stopped in my lane, but he continued to come over and his spray flap and indicator scraped along the wing - and looking back at that 1st photo, it looks like his rearmost tyre might have made contact too. Hopefully the directionality of the scrape & increasing damage as you go forward should help put the blame squarely in his court, especially if he tries to claim I tried to squeeze past.

None of the cars around offered to be witnesses, not even the HATO vehicle that was 3 cars behind the truck.

It sounds like a lot happened, but it only probably covered 10 seconds, start to finish.

Easy claim at least. Police nowadays start to pull the trucks off the road when they do this "policing" bit. They have no idea that blocking lanes is illegal and also that stopping other traffic from making progress is illegal. As per highway code all lanes need to be used.

Did you take any pictures of the potential witnesses cars? That way, the police can still knock on their doors if need be ...

How did you manage to stop the truck as I am actually amazed he did.

Couldn't, as by the time I'd jumped out of the car, dragged the lorry driver from the cab, beaten him to a pulp, cleaned him up and taken the photos of the scene, all the cars next to us had moved on (except the one directly behind me maybe), and then I was busy taking details.

As I was already stopped I simply flung off my seatbelt, ran (well more of a waddle) up to the lorry driver and took his photo as he came out of his cab. He was still moving as I was getting out of the car, but stopped a few yards away after he saw me approaching.

I all honesty I don't think he realised that he'd actually made contact as I heard it more than felt it.

Mate, gutted, despite your signature pics that was a well kept car :x

Hope you get it sorted without too many issues. Good luck.

It's kept in tip-top condition as I don't want any excuse for it to be off the road & it's used as it's meant to be used :driving:

There's not much point in washing it every night as it'll be dirty within 5 minutes the next day. So I just foam & rinse regularly, and then I do a proper detail every month (raining or not).

Gutted for you on the scrape mate but it looks like you should be fine in the event of a claim, the images tell a clear story, especially with you car parked in the collision position. Good luck with it
