Well its goodbye it is going

Well with some regret i have bought another car. And the M is going in part ex, unless someone wants to make an offer over £18k on it (as i have a week to sell it before it goes in).

The new car is an alfa spider 2.2 le 08 plate, not quite the economic hatchback i was planning on, theory was cheap car, 1/4 the running costs and have some cash over to put towards a land purchase, but could not convince myself to buy a small car and once a open top girl always one i am afraid, cannot be stuck in one of those inferior coupe type cars :poke: , so this was a happy medium and whilst the saving is not massive it is a step in the right direction. My discovery and offroading is really my main interest at the minute and doing quite a bit of that so all those weekends away cost, so felt i needed to cut down on some of my motoring costs some how.
.
I have had 18 months of fun and all you guys are great, shame i did not get out on more outings. will post some pics of the new car when i pick it up.

I would recommend anyone thinking of getting an M to do it, they are amazing cars, driving it back down the M1 today made me realise how good it really is.

Think i will actually cry when i have to hand over the keys.

Well, it sure is different ... I trust you have the full warranty with the Alfa?

Alfa Spider is a beautiful car. I really like the back of the Spider. What colour is the Alfa? Alfa Red?

Love the Disco, like driving a shed, but off road, it is amazing - drove over salisbury plain a couple of weekends ago, getting to see places i never would without the disco. Totally hooked on off roading.

The spider is white, the red is stunning but too close to the M and wanted something completely different and never had a white car.

Yes it has a warranty (third of the price of the M warranty when i need to extend it, which was part of the attraction), the pre 07 cars are very unrealible, but the new crop are meant to be better, we will see.

They had a 8C Competizione in red metallic in the dealer, it is one of the most stunning cars i have seen, but the budget did not stretch to £140k :o

Unless you are a serious Alfa collector, 8C is not worth that money even though the production volumes are only few hundreds.

Quite agree it is not worth the money if i had unlimited funds, i would just buy it to look at, there is just something about the styling, just wanted to stroke it :o .

Interesting choice, they look really good and especially in white. Bet the engine will sound pretty tasty too.

Post some pics when you get it please.

Shame to see a zed go especially an imola roadster (like mine) but I'm sure it'll go to a deserving new owner :)

Enjoy the alfa sounds very nice!

Would like a Defender for offroad pursuits/winter but realise that's probably a bit too hard core  .

Shame, I had my eye on your car. Unfortunatly I need a House and a Dog Charriot before the M//
Good luck with the Alfa

Defenders in winter are too cold........ i used to have to stuff a rag in the door lock to stop getting a cold hip and that was the day after i picked it up brand new from the dealer..... they don't do panel gaps...
