I really like the black grilles - I never understood the silver grey slats, especially on a grey car. Almost like putting gloss black wheels on a black car, they tend to just blend in and lose definition as a feature. I like my all black ones, though I do wish they did the in gloss like the e89 option grilles. Be nice to have the originals with the chrome surrounds, but someone sold them separately to the car :roll: :D
 
Each to their own but the 3.0 has it's own specific colour of grille that best suits the grey.

Just my opinion having done about every external mod possible and settled on what I like

Just checking anybody know what grill was standard on my Sterling 2003 2.5SE ?

I've got black ones fitted which were on there when I bought it, I'm trying to keep it unmodified so please don't tell me I'm a modd'er :o
 
The thing is, from the outside, my car could be a 2.2, 2.5 or 3.0. I want people to know I have a manly engine. :driving:

I do like the all black grille but also the black grille with the chrome trim .That is why I am torn between the two styles and I am still standard....I used to be indecisive but I am not so sure now :-)

Someone has pointed out once that all high end BMWs have the chromed grilles... Imo,that is the thing with the Z4: a sport car with class 8)
However I must say the black grilles on sterling grey looks great!!
