Well I got one !!

Welcome to the forum and e89 ownership, definitely the best colour interior and white does show the lines off, fitting a mmi/android screen will definitely bring it more up to date, also consider fitting some tweeters to the sound system as that’s a great improvement too.
I’m also not too far from you, I’m in Wakefield

As yours doesn’t have idrive I believe this could be an option

:? Looks like that could do with Cruise Control and/or maybe an Android screen for CarPlay :D Give me a shout if you think it does

RE: android screen, is there a way to wire it into the optical? ie having to use the armrest aux port?
I did look into this some time ago now. Yes there is, but it was quite price restrictive. Hang on I'll see if I can find it....
Ahh, here we go....
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/403781900697?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Iin_GNP6SL2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=4gE5sDg4SPa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

If it's to only free up the AUX socket then there is another way. You can get a AUX/USB socket that has a 6 pin connector on the back of the AUX side. This allows a second input, normally comes from the Media car phone adaptor. I've done this in mine where I soldered on a female flying AUX socket and plugged my Android screen cable to that. It works perfectly and neaten up the armrest cubby  If that's the way you want to go, I can give you all the info on it.

Amazing, this was a blocker to me. Looks like you have found a way! I would like to know more. That box is expensive!! I suppose if it keeps the armrest clear it could be worth it for a more factory look, but your solution seems like the way forward!

Also nice car OP!
I have white / red too based in Hudders!

Yeah it was just too expensive to even give it a try. There are other boxes that go from aux into the MOST system, but they are for aftermarket radios or amplifiers etc. This was the only one (I think, may have been another but just as expensive) that converted an AUX input into the MOST network.

So after some research, I found this OEM socket and gave that a try instead and it did the job.
Here's one I've found complete with the 6 pin plug and a few inches of wire to connect the flying lead to....

I've got the wiring diagrams on my pc, but I'm on the phone at the moment so I'll pm you them tomorrow

You’d be more than welcome.
I’m no expert by any stretch of the imagination but if you needed anything coding then I’d be happy to help.
