Welcome to the new owners!

Can I just say how genuinely awesome it is to have so many new e89 owners on here.

Felt like a super niche club all those years ago and as prices have come down and the car has aged it’s great to see new faces on here and the breadth of ownership increase.

Welcome all, these are fascinating cars on a fascinating forum.

Good point well made Maniac, I'm a relative newbie to the forum but now you mention it I've seen that change too even in my short time on here

As a relative newbie to Z ownership, this forum has been great! Has opened my eyes to so much and with more E89 owners coming in, can only see it getting better.

Thanks all

Welcome to possibly the best forum you will ever join. Loads of help and we even get to meet up at ZedFest. :D

Just bought my E89 a week ago. Got a good deal on a fully kitted out 2012 20i M Sport.

Found a puncture in one of the tyres this morning though :headbang:

Also a newbie having bought my 23i M Sport back in April and loving every minute of driving it...currently trawling through the historic postings on here as eventually want to replace all internal silver carbon ,hoop rears, and facelift side indicators with black cf (or dipped equivalent if I can't find a buyer for the wife!), and pop in black front grilles...loads of great tutorials and tips on here...priceless advice from people who've actually done it.

I’m a couple of months in to ownership and about to collect my second car on Wednesday..... going from a 23i SE to a 4 year younger 2.0 msport!!

2nd Z4 in a couple of months - careful, or you'll end up like mr wilks on number 10!

I hope the collection all goes well.

Much as I love my E86 I suppose an E89 may be a future option, so it would be interesting to hear how you rate the new one compared to your 23i.

Cheers,
I will draw up a comparison once I get it home.

Tomorrow will be 320 miles in the 23i followed directly by 320 miles in the 20i - should be good for a direct back to back comparison.

I just bought my first Z4 23i. Seller reconditioning the alloys so not driven in anger yet. I had to give up motorbikes so wanted something to give me adrenaline rush. Bro in law has a boxster and with roof down, acceleration and cornering was closest I’ve been to a bike. Needed a convertible. Notice quite a few bike lads in this forum.

Hi, yep the feeling of freedom with the roof lowered is quite bike like
Don’t forget to post pics when you get the car home!
