I'll keep this short.. please shout if you've any idea whats going on though!
- washed my car. give it a good wash. it was cold. haven't driven car today.
- moved car off the road onto the driveway after I washed it. takes 1min. car still cold.
- parked it the usual way (reverse, then handbrake up, into P (its an auto), then foot off the brake, ignition off
here comes the problem:
- walked to front of car and could hear a fan noise. waited 30sec to see if it stopped... hadn't heard it before and thought maybe it'll stop. car door was still open. closed the door and locked car. fan noise still going (1min). unlocked car.. still going. popped hood. looks like the belts were still in motion at the front of the bonnet (timing belts or smth?). I've never see this happen and the car was cold.. and wet too. I started it up again then turned it off and this time the belt stopped with the car (this is the usual behaviour).
I'm puzzeled... didn't know that mechanic even worked with engine off etc. what's the deal, anyone know? thanks ahead..
