Weird tip of the day for the white nappa owners among us...

Just drove the car earlier and noticed the wife has the seat up very high tilted almost forward and belt rubs on seat in this position. She drives it daily to work (30mile total journey). Shouldn't really happen no matter the position of seat.

Shambolic have you considered getting seat belt covers, bit boy racer I know, but needs must!
great tip will certainly give it a try my dream red seats are really dirty and never found anything to clean them. Was reading all about the magic sponge... interesting http://home.howstuffworks.com/magic-eraser.htm they reckon though it contains toxic properties reading the comments below so perhaps be careful then again we seem to live in a health and safety world at present... theres prob sod all wrong with it... this guy has it right
yeah just read on another forum on it with regards to using it on leather apparently it will take a tiny layer of clear coat of the top of the leather with gentle use ... i guess trying it on red leather in an area not seen you will immediately see red on the sponge if it goes past the clear coat.
Perhaps do this only once then keep the leather clean after with regular weekly auto glym leather products etc

Hmm, I've been trying to find something to sort my Champagne nappa, nothing major (probably just my OCD lol) but a few areas that I think could be better.
Someone mentions on that link about it stripping the colour from the hide of the leather... not sure, but I'm tempted to try it

Can't see mention of leather, but yes someone mentioned abrasiveness. All I can say is that they work for me, they've removed a huge amount of dirt, and the leather seems just the same... just cleaner! I'll likely use it once a year as it takes that long to dirty the seats, so I'm not too concerned. GIven I've found nothing else that works, I've little option.

Its not removed the colour or protection from mine. I had some bolster wear recently and I patched that up with liquid leather anyhow. Over time they get dirtier and no amount of cleaning gets it all out. Plus the grime wears off the coating and colour anyhow over time, so liquid leather is inevitable. My car is nearly 4 years old now and the leather still looks really good, because I've cleaned it monthly and re coloured any areas of wear.

I have now tried this on my red leather. It certainly cleans effectively but definitely takes a small amount of the surface off as the sponge turns slightly red. This results in darker colours appearing to reduce in colour depth. It looks kind of faded if that makes sense? Undeterred, I then applied a helping of AG Leather Balm which resolved the faded effect but makes the leather look a bit shiny.
