weird text

just got a text from 07763630210 saying " URGENT our records indicate that you may be entitled to 3750 pounds for an accident you had"

i cant understand how they got my number and what crash ive been in as the only accident ive ever had was 4 years ago when a drunk driver drove down the side of me while i was parked infront of the chip shop.

anyone else had this txt???
 
It's just scammers that will have bought your info from somewhere... just trying their luck. I get them about PPI refunds I'm due... never taken PPI out!!!
I just ignore them.
 
Dont reply, then they know their spam has hit a real number, and can often cost ££ :thumbsdown:
 
I had an email from a nice chap in Uganda. He said my Uncle Benson died and gifted me 96bn Ugandan $$$ in his will.

I only need to send a copy of my passport and driving licence to prove who I am, and cheque for £1,000. Then they will give me the money :lol:

Once you have done that I'm onto half...he was my uncle Benson too!

if your not prepared to gamble, can i have a copy of the email, i think 1K is worth the risk
 
Every time you do an online quote the 'broker' makes a bit of cash on the side by selling your info. In my case, even when I've specifically ticked/unticked/double-unticked the boxes asking me in double/triple/quadruple negative phrases whether I allow them to do or not to not do :headbang:

I ask them nicely once to leave me alone and then I just shout abuse down the line to them - which makes me feel better. I don't care if they're only doing their job, then can FRO!
 
actually i bet its because i got a quote from warrenty direct the other day, they have been on the phone ever since pissing me off
