Weird noise near alternator

Hi, today I was trying to bump start my car on a downhill(I failed lol). After getting jump started by my family I believe I started hearing this weird cracking noise. I'm not a experience mechanic by any means. But based on my research and my gut I think it's the alternator pulley. Can someone help me identity what could this noise be?

Sounds like something internal in the alternator. It could be a pulley, but they normally don't make a clicking noise. Remove the belt and spin each pulley and alternator by hand to pinpoint the noise.

Turns out it was the pulley! Brought the alternator to get it checked and the employee instantly told me the pulley was bad! 80$ and 5 minutes later my alternator had a brand new pulley and the noise is gone
