Weird noise from back of car

Seems to happen if I hit the gas fairly hard from low revs in (probably) too high a gear

Reminds me of the "pinking" noise you used to get on old cars

Any idea what it could be?

Any chance it could be your rear springs, snapped and rattling about? That's what mine sounded like???

Could be pinking, does it do it on super unleaded?

Pinking, mine does it when it's hot and not using super.
