Weird Bluetooth problem

This is a long shot, but I know there's lots of clever folks here...

My wife got an LG Prada phone from T-Mobile UK. She likes it very much,
for some reason.

Anyways, it pairs up with the bluetooth, but the phone book doesn't transfer. Not really a problem. The problem starts when you turn the ignition on and the car powers up the bluetooth kicks in and the phone connects... It then proceeds to dial the last number dialled! It's never happened with any other phone paired with the car.

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

That doesn't sound good.... I can only imagine the phone is not compatible 100%... It might be worth seeing if there is a different firmware available for the phone. Long shot, but worth a go.

I'm going to have to return it to T-Mobile, and see if they can send me another one with newer firmware. I had an LG before, and remember the firmware was not easy to update at home.

When I paired my phone (SE S710a) for the first time, it took about 20 minutes to sync my phonebook to the car.

Although my phone doesn't dial out immediately when it connects, it will dial the last number if I press the phone button. I haven't played with the handsfree much, as I don't like making calls on the road.

My Nokia dials the last number when I press the phone button on the dash - I always assumed that was a feature, it's handy! But not so handy when you leave for work at 6am and accidentally ring whoever it was you spoke to last night!!

T-Mobile are sending out another phone, just in case it's something odd with this particular one. But I don't hold much hope - here's waiting for the iPhone this side of the pond.

D.

My Motorola KRZR doesn't seem to load the phonebook at all. When I paired it up, the radio just flashes "loading phonebook" for 5 minutes plus, and I don't know THAT many people. I can still use it to talk to people though.
