Weighted knob !

I picked up new car yesterday and I have to say WOW !!..pics will be coming once I can clean it.

The question I have is....is there a similar weighted/shorted knob for the E89 ?
I had a ZHP for my E85 and loved it, but I've been told it doesn't fit the E89 ?

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Tim.

Plus 1 on the Storm knobs. I had one in my E85 and E89, makes a huge difference!

If anyone can get me some dimensions of the shat the gear knob fits on. I can have a go at making something when I start making them again.

If theres one thing i hate about the car is the notchy gearbox shift.
It so spoils the enjoyment of accelerating and changing from 1st to 2nd.
Why do BMW produce a gearbox like that.
I had loaned to me a new Series 1 when the zed was at dealer, beautiful smooth gerabox so BMW can make them.
Its as though the selector shaft lock pins are used to hold it in gear.
Has BMW ever had problems with the design of gearbox? jumping out of gear etc.

+2, I had one one on my previous E46, (Storm V1 Titanium) great feel and transforms the feel of the gearbox.

This link shows one fitted to a forum members car: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=611

I had a J reg E36 325i that used to jump out of 1st gear most of the time, flogged it on (with the buyers full knowledge) in the end...

I don't actually have a Storm on the Z4 but been mulling over it, decision is slightly clouded as I have AC Schnitzer on the Z3 which I absolutely love but was a ridiculous price when I bought it :o But wouldn't mind one in the Z4 also

Like the Storm these are made from solid billet aluminium and daft as it sounds during freezing weather in the morning its literally a pain in the hand, so you will need one of these,

:)
