Weighted gear knob

There is a stock looking weighted shift knob available.

I'm not sure it is a great product if it needs 3 set-screws to hold it in place. And the idea of 2 badges is a concern - will the one you use stay on?

Most people go for this as it is a genuine BMW part, but just wasn't fitted to Z4s. You just shove it on firmly and it fits like the one you took off!

Storm Motorwerks are another option, more expensive but beautifully made. That ebay thing looks crap IMO.

Nothing wrong with it, just that I when I bought the car it came with the original and I put that back on. The SM is a much better grear change than the original, both as it is shorter and nicely weighted.

'Impressive 210 grams (7.4oz)' is it made out of Papier-mâché?! Polystyrene would be about the same weight!

:? I think you've got that wrong. 210 grams is actually quite a bit for a gear knob. The ZHP is 180 grams compared to 84 grams of the standard.
