I feel your pain as I picked up a new car yesterday with plans on open top driving around mid Wales. Where abouts in Wales are you?

Glorious part of the planet for driving. Looks like the weather should improve a lot Sunday Monday too. Have a great trip and keep posting the pics :)

Hope the weather picks up for you,we were in Barmouth for a week in June.....great places for food just down past the bridge heading into town.If you're S/C you can get supplies delivered from Co-op for a spend of £25 I recall......easily done with a few bottles of vino........we only used this service as there was no vehicular access to the place we'd rented, well up the hill behind the town centre.
Had good drives/days out in Port Merion,Snowdonia and headed south for a drive along the coast.
Enjoy your trip

Enjoy James,

Try the A5 From Bethesda, to Capel Curig, to Llanberis, or vie versa. - Cracking Driving road with beautiful scenery
Also the road up from Trawsffynned to Blaenau Festiniog and over to Betws-y-Coed is a good one.

Keep posting the Pics too.

Hi James. The weather is supposed to be good tomorrow ! :D I'm sure you and Alison will enjoy the roads and the scenery. Are you coming along on Mr Wilks little run/meet next Sunday ? Have a great weekends driving. :driving:

Despite the weather got out for a nice drive. Pretty deserted roads up around Porthmadog, Harlech and shell island.

Did see a belter spoiler and wondered where I could get one for the zed

Much better day for a drive today

Beautiful day today and found some excellent roads. Took the A496 from Barmouth to maentwrog, not much traffic and some great views right along the coast. Then skipped over the A487 and took the road up to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Then up the A470 to the A5. Roof down, sun out all day. Great feeling. Took the A5 to Llangollen for a spot of lunch then the horseshoe pass to the A5104 up to penny ford and around the back roads of Chester to get me back to Liverpool.
