Weekend Away - Recommendations

Jerseys a nice place.

I had to go there on a business related matter, and was really impressed so going to make a trip there sometime soon!

I was at the Hotel De France, apparently the Spa is one of the most beautiful in the world (which it does look very nice!), but the rooms and corridors etc were a bit old fashioned and dated.

On a side note, if you are willing to pay 250 a night, I'd personally go to Barcelona, or Rome or something like that and budget it airline wise and spend a few days abroad in a nice hotel as they are cheaper than in the UK at the moment!

I took my girlfriend away to Rome for 5 nights for about 500 quid, including flights. But its expensive once you get there!

Thats the thing, i don't mind spending a few quid but can't afford another 3/400 spending money on top then.

The favourite at the moment is the Hilton Doubletree Chester for 2 nights with a couple of spa treatments and tickets for Chester Zoo coming in at about £350. I'm certainly not ruling out something like Barcelona though!

Slightly lazy on my part but how much is it? I don't want to sign up for yet another "deals" mailer for nothing!

There is no cost to sign up to Secret Escapes, I think this deal is £250 for 4 nights with either flight or ferry inc.

It shoots up to £359 with the flight option but still seems a good deal.

Thanks for that. The mrs doesn't fancy this for some reason though.
