Week 10 build

There has been a very strong rumour for some time that production stopped at the end of week 8 and began again in week 10...further rumour states that a number of changes have been introduced that is why they had the week 9 break.

The main change is the ability to open and close the roof while the csr is moving, there are others but I dont know what they are...

We should start to see some week 10 builds coming through verry soon so anyone with a week 10 build needs to post up any changes they note no matter how small or insignificant
 
My car was built a week earlier than originally planned...but has taken ages to ship!
 
My car is currently on order, spoke to the dealer today who confirmed my car is currently being built and as such is after week 10.

The only other change apart from the roof is the availablity of Mineral White.

So not other extra goodies :(
 
Has ambient ligting been included? never noticed that before, it is now stated in the standard spec on yhe BMW website. It may be I overlooked it last time I looked...
 
Is mineral white now available with all leather colour options, or still just the pure design brown leather interior?

Try the configurator and see what options it allows with the MW...

on the configurator it is still listed as an option on anything less than the 35i

Whats different then? Apart from correctly NOT listing Hill Start Assist!
 
I thought Ambient Lighting was standard anyway. Isn't it just the lighs that give a subtle orange glow and they're situated by the interior light above the rear view mirror?

I'm not certain as I haven't got my Z4 yet but in my 3 series I think its standard. You hardly ever notice it imo.

Are you maybe thinking of the extended lighting? That is still an option.
 
Yes, ambient lighting is the cockpit soft glow lighting, extended lighting puts in door/puddle lamps, door handle lighting, footwell lighting, rear parcel shelf lighting and perhaps one or two more bits here and there.
