Just back from a weekend at Silverstone watching WEC ... I have to say it was brilliant - two days racing for 40 pounds - the Porsche 919 and Audi R18s are unworldly . Ford GTS are like passing thunder.

Anyone else go ?

Managed to get a pitwalk on race day which had a great atmosphere.

52,000 at Silverstone and not a word of it on mainstream media . Would really recommend it to anyone for next year.

If I could make Spa is be there.

All the top prototype class needs is a few more manufacturers ... Come on BMW this would be such a good fit .

Yes - just the Sunday but it was fantastic. We watched the Chinese GP in the morning, then smashed it up the M1 to Silverstone, watched a couple of hours, went to a local pub for lunch and a pint, then back to the track for the finish. The race was great, the cars are always amazing to see/hear and the Porsche GB meet was an unexpected bonus.

Such good value, as you say and it's nice to be at Silverstone without the GP crowds. I think the only downside was the sound of the new GT40s - loud but horrible.
