After nearly 30 years of driving almost every type of car ever made I purchased my first convertible in November.

In between the car being back at the dealer for repairs ( see my other thread lol ) I've managed a 5 minute trip with the roof down before the rain returned!

Ive never known anything like it, I'm sure it's rained every day since I bought it! Anyone else getting frustrated and longing for a crisp winters day to arrive?

I've had 3 soft tops so far, and convinced the weeks after buying them have been the most wet on record!

Even purchased a new scarf whilst buying a new Barbour in September & cue the non-seasonal warmth.

Your time will come & you will love it. Just drop the roof, it can always go back up; 6C tonight but dry aside from spray & a great drive home, even if my commute is 30mins on the M4, felt human again after 2 days back at work

Be patient - it's brilliant most of the time. One of my memorable drives involved having massive snowflakes swirling around the open cabin! :o :D
Driving with the roof down is a totally different experience to just driving and we generally drive all year (and in all weathers) with the roof down. Only exceptions being the odd long and busy motorway trips or when it's lashing down - like it is now!!!

Despite how it seems we have far more dry days than rainy ones (well we do, on the North East coast).

Got two trips in over the Christmas break, in between food poisoning. I can therefore reaffirm that, there is no better feeling than driving a Z4, roof down, engine singing, on a crisp, clear, frost free, start-lit night. Oh yes that is heaven. :D

Your time will come.
