What with the weather improving ( be it only significantly ) and the detailing bug almost kicking in again I thought it might be nice to offer up a previous couple of works undertaken just recently. Firstly, we have a Range Rover sport which had been abused with car automated washes...

Secondly, we have a mk5 Volkswagen golf R32 which had seen the local car washes over the cold months. This one certainly portrays what you get for your money both from the car wash ( shocking ) and from me...

Enjoy and c & c welcome.

Good work on the RRS mate, as a recently departed owner I know how tough they are to get right with the paint being so soft. Look on detailing world and there is a full fat range rover which was worked on, it was hideous ....I will try and find the post.

Scott is there anything you can recommend for white paint? I know poorboys do a light car polish, is this any good? Still using 476 after the SRP which looks good, but always after that next new thing.....

Thanks

I seriously hope the weather will be getting better soon as I've had my Z4 for 6ish weeks now and its rained "every" day :( WTF?
I use the MET office app on the iphone and for some bizarre reason they see fit to try and forecast 5 days ahead? Why the hell would they do that as it changes on a daily basis? The idea of a forecast is to give you an idea of what "will" happen not revisit it every day.

Mind you with their ability to completely "Arse" up the forecast over a few days I have no doubt they can tell me what the weather will be like in 50 years time because of global warming! :P

Oops, thread hijack, sorry chaps, you were saying?

Once washed / dried / de-tarred / clayed, try serious performance paint cleanser. Its a simple cleanser with a lot to give. Used it on my white astra van and the areas I worked on looked crisp where as the unworked areas actually looked grey in comparison. SP paint cleanser gives a real creaking clean and fresh finish, followed by poorboys white diamond or chenical guys ez creme glaze and it will look real nice.

 at wheelie. Couldnt be any closer to the truth. Use it myself to help plan my days / weeks and it seldom rarley is spot on.

Thanks Scott, will order some today.....can't wait. The car looks good now, want it gleaming for the summer....
