Quite an interesting mix of vehicles out there! In our run group we had 2 M5's, several Z3's and Z4's from our local group, and an S2000.
There were many car groups out there, a Saturn Sky group had several cars, a Chevy SSR group brought out 10 cars...or trucks...or whatever those things are...

Lots of Mustangs, Corvettes, Vipers, Chargers, Magnums, trucks of all types, and one group even had an eclectic mix including a Viper, a hearse, and a Ford Pinto.

Looks like fun! Those SSR's are actually pretty quick for a stock vehicle, 400hp, unmodified.

Great fun, Mike. We did a similar event with Big Brothers/Big Sisters at the Kansas Speedway. Get those stock tires a little more than warm and you will leave some on the track which is not fun. Charity events like these are super for kids and adults that wrangle rides. We used to do a run of 20 "practice" laps prior to having anyone in the car.

Now if we could arrange this at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for a regional Z event (a large event) this could maybe be possible a solution for a future alternative to Homecoming.

If we do that, I'm gonna need to buy a pretty big house out there so y'all will have a place to party, eh?

I believe we have a host hotel selected AJ.

It can be done, it just takes a little effort.

Now Vegas is a destination city!!!!!!!!! :fuelfire:

I've been out there a few times. Love the Venetian!

Lets do it before June/July next year....I may not be here.

On a side note, it may be pretty easy to get the track in Pahrump, the owner seemed real nice, but I have no idea how much the Porsche club paid for it.

I know the LV porsche club will have a track event at spring mountain in Nov. Though if it's like this one it'll be around $179 for the day.
