I just did my monthly once over on my 2.0SE zed, I do a dose of autoglym on the trims and rubbers to keep them protected, also I do the engine bay, and waxed the whole car, how often do you guys treat your trims?

I do an annual deep clean ( strip all the old polish/wax off) and machine polish etc back up to a high standard. This takes me about 3 days then only wash and wet wax half a dozen times through the year.

I clean mine after every run out pretty much. That can be anything from cleaning the wheels sills and car matts, to a full wash and dry. After every wash I drive it around the estate a few miles to ensure the break discs are dry before I tuck her away in the garage again. I wax it two or three times a year, as required. The engine bay gets cleaned a couple of times a year. I swear by Johnson's baby wipes for the interior and the engine bay. Followed up on the leather with leather wipes. mostly Autoglym products for me.

I generally think applying coatings and stuff to trim is generally a no-no. First of all, it's not meant to be shiny. Secondly, these products usually make the dirt stick to stuff. Just a good clean with a hot damp cloth usually does wonders!

Here's my engine bay with zero products, just washed off with snow foam and some brushes then rinsed off and dried.
