Wax onnn, wax NOT off

No offence but you're living in cloud cuckoo land if you think that showroom shine is better than a proper detail :P

I remember last year waxing the cars and running out of light...had to drive to an industrial estate that had a unit with bright floodlights outside. Parked up and began buffing! Probably looked dodgy, but got the job done.

What happens to wax if you dont buff it off and it rains? Does it just go all greasy?

Well ... I can safely say it looks like there is the odd patch of Vaseline on my bonnet as it is the only part I gave up on with such force .. Rain beads normally but dry as above :-s Going to re wax on Friday when I'm off :tumbleweed:

Best thing to do I think would be a panel at a time... And use a soft wax. Also, do it in the morning so Ou don't run out of light. All of that is advice from someone who is no expert himself

I tried that for the rest of the car , and it was still such a pain. Think I'm going to bin the wax, I've never had a problem like that before. Serves me right for being impatiet I guess and doing it as soon as I got home with the goodies!!

Good wax always says to do a small area at a time, trust me, it's a lot of extra work if you put too much on ..
What are you going to do when you need to clay it? that definitely needs to be done in tiny sections.
