its never occurred to before, but generally the signs of a z4-forum member are seen from behind i.e. a forum stick in the rear window or maybe a stubby, perhaps front window display should be used, a tax disc holder is as good as any
 
Had a scimitar too ( pals called it the 'turdmobile' ), it was brown. When I did see one other they waved.

Mini owners wave like mad, my triumph club buddies wave too, iq even get waves from other classic owners. When I had an MX5, even some of them waved.

Same with "real" Minis. You would get abuse for not waving/flashing lights.

Maybe a doffing of the hood to acknowledge ? (sorry coupe owners :-?)

I wave, even a z3 we nod. now in the new z4 see several old models and they dont, wonder why.

I think it's cos people need to recognize fellow enthusiasts - there are loads of Z owners out there that don't bother with their car other than its a tool to look good and get from A2B. If we were able to recognize fellow enthusiasts - like SARS's tax disc idea, then we would not look like waving idiots - plus if they don't wave back you can hunt them down online....!
 
When I had my Focus ST the owners club members were very good for giving a wave. I regularly saw the same few ST's locally (non-owners club members) and I always waved with no response. I think I must have made them feel guilty for ignoring me because I eventually wore them down and got a wave every time. 8)
 
So okay how do we make a tax disc holder visible so that we can see it from the front......hmmm going to trawl

It's either that or something on the number plate.... Or maybe go the whole Gavin & Stacy and get a forum windscreen strip....
 
Lol, just had a quick look, you can get a shield type tax disc holder in most colours, printed for £0.35 each based on an order quantity of 500.

If its done through the forum we could make a donation of say £1.00 and receive the forum tax disc.....

Mods is this possible.....

My cliosport club had a forum tax disc holder. It's something we should do even if it's not massively visible from the front.
 
Why not just get a cheapo sunstrip with Self adhesive number plate letters and Spell out MEMBER on it, Now that, would be cooool, we wouldn't miss each other then.

You got to remember that the Z4 has quite a big front, would you really like my big member coming up your rear?
