Waterpump Failed

Just had my waterpump replaced. The car was overheating with no hot air being put out the vents. Failed pretty much bang on 60k miles. Is this comming on the 3.0Si?

All under warrenty luckliy.

according to the invoices which came with my 3.0SI the waterpump was replaced at 81k .
BTW main dealer bill was £684 including new thermostat at £64 , some related screws , new coolant/anti freeze & a rivet costing 81p
part itself was £290 + vat .
glad it was before i bought it

Well the warrenty has paid for itself this year then! They're looking at my CD Autochange which hasn't ever worked aswell. And fitting new wish bone bushes which I've got to pay for, but may aswell get it done while its in.

They do have a reputation of going on allbig BMW's.I'm going to replace mine next spring just in case, so I can control the costs.if it was to go and be rescued to a main dealer, I'd be screwed on cost, but I plan to replace it myself before it takes anything else with it.prevantative maintenance and all that.
