Hey guys . I have a 2003 bmw z4 3.0i with 100,000 miles and I’m changing thermostat and water pump but having trouble removing the water pump . I’ve been searching how to remove water pump but don’t know exactly what to do . I have the driver side motor mount lose do I just jack up engine up carefully ? Thinking it might have enough space for water pump to come out .

Any tips will be helpfully thanks 🙏🏼

Yup, just slowly jack the engine (put a wooden beam across the oil pan to spread the load) and eventualy you'll be able to wriggle it out. It's a pain but take your time and it'll come. Then you get to repeat the fun wrestle putting the new one in

Other tips, which I assume you'll already have considered; take the pulley off before removing the belt, it's a bugger to try and crack the bolts when its free to spin, same advice in reverse when it comes to torqueing the bolts after reinstall, do it once the belt is on. Also, assume you know about the trick to use the mounting bolts in the extra 2 holes in the pump - they're against flat parts of the engine and lever the pump out, just tighten then both down 1/2 turn or so at a time and swap sides, or even get a ratchet on both if you can. Even if you've drained the system, you'll get a load of coolant pouring out of the block once the pump starts to come free, so have a pan under!

This might help too:
