Newbie here, had the Z4 for around a month now and love it to bits, turning out be a bit of a money pit, all worth it but I'll get on to that one later. Anyway I have noticed that I have a coolant leak - can see the puddles on the car park floor and the coolant level is low. Anyway I took it to the local rapid fit (chose here because its around the corner), and they diagnosed it as needing a new water pump, and they quoted £480 to replace it and all associated bits. I was wondering what you thought to this? It seems a bit expensive to me and I started to get the impression that they me trying to rip me off? I am waiting for another garage to get back with a price. I am by no means a mechanic, so wouldn't be ablte to any work myself. What would you expect to pay? Any suggestions on where to take it, I am based in the Nottingham area.
