Water Pump Leaking - need help picking a new one

Hi,

I've been losing coolant over the past few weeks and today had the time to find the source. A lovely leak right from the belt where the water pump is.

i'm looking to replace the pump and thermostat and hoping this might explain why since i got the car back on the road the heating has been luke warm at best!

there are soooo many cheap choices here https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/water-pump-10191/bmw/z4/z4-e85/17830-2-2-i i know the old adage of you get what you pay for so looking for advice on what to get.

Similar for the thermostat in terms of choices! https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/thermostat-10195/bmw/z4/z4-e85/17830-2-2-i

Basically - HELP

i can get this Circoli https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/circoli-water-pump-201110121 and the thermostat for £70 with the black friday offer. delivered monday. No Gaskets with either though :x

I fitted a Wahler thermostat and Meyle HD water pump a year ago. Have had zero problems or leaks since so would definitely recommend these two brands  20181110_153540.jpg

You get a new rubber o-ring in the box with the water pump. I lubed it up with a bit of washing up liquid before seating the pump in the housing in the block. No other sealant required. The thermostat has a rubber gasket built in to its plastic face. I ensured the mating face on the block was scrupulously clean and applied a very thin bead of RTV also as extra insurance
