Water puddle under car after Heater on

Hi, I was driving the car at night with the heater on but I don't think the a/c was on and it was dripping water when I went to park it is this normal, I know this happens when using the ac but I don't believe I was?

You wouldn't have both the heating AND the air con on at the same time would you?? Leak in radiator? Faulty/split hose? Is it losing fluid in expansion tank?

A/C put simply is heat exchange , and on a car this basically mean removal of moisture in the air . It is possible that when humid and having both the heater on with A/C that the A/C will be trying to remove the moisture in the warm humid air your introducing into the car with the heater on , thus producing the puddle under the car as the A/C does its job .

When your windscreen is misted in the morning and you put your heater on the clear it , try putting the A/C on and see how much quicker it clears . The A/C working correctly removes the moisture .even quicker if you put the system on recirculating .

Of course the OP could have an issue but A/C and heater on at the same time could cause this puddle . If it were me I would dip my finger in the puddle and then dab it on my tongue , if it taste sweet, chances are you have a leak in the coolant system .

Thanks guys I will have to put the heaters on again to try and replicate this, I can't be sure I didn't accidentally have ac enabled as this was my first time using the dash board temp options

Check level in coolant tank and possibly put a pencil mark on current level. If its going down then you have a leak otherwise its just condensate.

All my cars drip water when parking up after running with Aircon on ,even the C1, which I do all the time ,climate control manages the temperature
