Water Leak Through Passenger Side Door Seal?

Hi all,

I noticed the other day on my E86 I had wet carpets on my passenger side. I decided to sit in the car during the next downpour to try and locate the leak and I found the water pooling at the bottom seal on the door. 'Please see pictures' I believe the water pools there and then when there is enough it overflows and drips down onto the carpet.

When I open the door the top rubber seal also has some water on it. Sorry to sound stupid but are these easy to replace? Is it just a case of pull off and stick on?

Any advice is appreciated :)

It looks more like the door membrane behind the door card,
You can replace it or repair or re stick the original one depends on the damage, good water proof tape or even silicon sealant can solve this.

Yeah I had the same issue and it was the foam vapour barrier behind the door card - it was absolutely destroyed - like a previous owner lost their patience and just ripped it out to get access to something, rather than softening the butyl tape. Replaced with a brand new barrier and butyl tape and no issues since.
