Water inside. AGAIN!

As an update to my woes, sorry for the hijack :)

I took my door card off yesterday and I can only describe the 'work' done by my Indy at sealing the door membrane back up as PATHETIC :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

You could quite clearly see where the water was coming from as there was a small puddle on the membrane, they had used grey ducktape which is fine but the way they did it was PATHETIC.

I have now done it properly and to be honest with the amount I have paid for services on the car over the past 4 weeks to say im disappointed with the quality of their work for this alone I might be going elsewhere from now on

How hard is it to open the inside of the door??? Never open one before and with
The airbag and all...thanks

Did you find what it was? I've had similar woes, I poured loads of water onto the doors so it drained into the car. All went out the bottom of the doors in the right place. The previous owner had a problem with the roof and I think my water under the carpet was from that. I've dried it out, and poured tons of water everywhere, none coming in. I've just put carpets back in, and it's pouring with rain!! :silence: I'm a bit on edge!

Think the main areas I've checked over the years are:
- Roof drains, that can overflow and enter the boot
- Door membrane, that seems to come into the footwell between the gap on the inner trim
- Seal alongside the windshield and door, that seems to cause water to run down by the tweeters
