Water in the right side rocker panel

Hello - I am new to this forum and a recent Z4 purchaser. I love the car. It is a 2003 and in great shape. I washed it and discovered that there is some water sloshing in the right side rocker panel. I hear it when stopping and starting as it goes back and forth. Has anyone encountered a similar problem and does anyone know of a way to drain the water short of drilling a hole in the underside of the panel? If I drill, are there wires/cables or anything that are channeled through the panel? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Another member here had this problem recently, try searching. He reported there are plugs underneath that can be removed. Apparently water can get in there when the windshield cowling drains are obstructed. Be sure these are clear as your wiper motor is at risk. There are two, one obvious, one not so obvious high and center.
