Water in the boot- CURED..... I hope

All, I think I have cured the problem with water leaking into the boot, as per my previous listings the problem was not the drains or boot seal or rear light, it was coming in from the top and dripping onto the drivers side wheelarch.

HOWEVER, after much frustration, I think I have cure it. I pressed silicone grease between the roof rubber seal and the bodywork and the roof rubber seal and the door pillar rubber seal. Not exactly sure how this has worked but it appears so. Along with the heavy rain this week and soaking it with the hose, the boot remains dry!

I'll soak it again over the wekkend, if still ok, I'll put everyting back together.

Any ideas on why this has worked will be welcomed.

Hi, The picture is not that clear, but hopefully clear enough. Basically I pulled back the rubber seal between the roof and bodywork and squeezed some silicone grease into the gap. The grease does come with a nozzle, but that was impossible to use. Arnie may have been strong enough!

Seems to have worked, and boot carpet and shelf back together. However, I could only get the rear shelf clips in. Any ideas on how to put the front ones in?
