Water in boot why ? 😭😭

Hi got a an inch of water in left side of my boot
New genuine 3rd brake light
New genuine rear light seals
Both drain channels cleared
Wheel arch off trombone cleaning pipe all the way up until I can see it from rear window crap out

How the hell is it getting in and from where ?

It's probably from the light surround trim piece. Thats held in by 3 screws, one of the screws is right above that small pouch on the left and right sides of the boot.

Try opening the boot and pouring water in the drain channel that runs on the left hand side, see whether you can see it dripping?

Just tested that and not that dry as a bone and it’s wet further back at the turret insulation is all wet too and also the hard trim removable battery cover is also wet
Doing my head in

Breached/brittle rubber seals? Gummi fledge required?

Could be the rubber seal? The problem with carpet is it soaks and can give a misleading location to where water is coming from.
Leave a small person in there with a torch and see if they can see anything whilst using a pressure washer... with consent! :rofl:

I had a similar leak a few years back and the frustration of trying to fix it was doing my head in. I read somewhere to silicone these joints. Never leaked again, and it must have been about 7 years back.
