I have just noticed that quite a lot of water has socked the carpet in the passenger foot well.

it is due for a service in the next month so I will ask my Indy but I want to know if anyone has experiences this and how serious it is.
my lease is up soon and i am debating keeping it or moving on...

Thank you

95% sure it will be your door membrane. Will be around £100 for dealer repair, or you can get the membrane itslef for <£20-30 iirc. Easy enough if you have the inclination, or let your indy have a go.

If its a coupe, get some silicone spray from halfords, spray it onto a tissue and run it around the window and door seals :) Worked on mine :D

The other 5% is the air con - not sure about the Z but when my old e46 pissed water into the passenger footwell it was air con condensate

As spareone3 said..it will probably be your door membrane,as these can come loose with age sometimes/tho mainly they are loose after someone hasnt properly re-fitted them after replacing a Window regulator, etc

IF ITS NOT THE MEMBRANE,ie if thats ftd fully ok,then the other place water can get into the pass side footwell is
The area wher the POLEN FILTER is located,up and under the scuttle panel below w/screen,accessed from the pass footwell.
If the person that last renewed the Polen Filter hasnt loacated all the clips on the Filter Housing properly,it leaves a gap where water gets in from the external Bulkhead :headbang:
So get this checked too
