Water Blade to dry car?

Never had a problem with mine but found it was certainly much better on the scirocco because of the lovely straight panels.

What I will say is you need to be meticulous in ensuring its clean IMO
 
As Bluestreak56 said, keeping the blade clean is the key to being able to use one on the car. The second it gets a piece of dirt stuck to it, toss it in the trash.
 
Slightly of topic maybe but someone mentioned that chamois a bad. I've used one for years and it has never seemed to cause any issue, what's the thinking behind saying that they are bad?

If you haven't had any issues with it, keep using it.

The problem with a chamois is that there is no pile in it, so any grit that you wipe onto it stays on the surface and can cause scratches. If you lay it over and then pick it straight up without wiping you should be OK.

There only bad if you don't keep it clean. There only as bad as a micro-fibre clothe or your sponge etc would be if dropped on the floor.

If you keep your stuff clean and rinse everything before using it you have no worries

I used to do a bit of part time cleaning at a vw dealership whilst I was at uni and I was given one of these to use. It was amazing at saving time and was actually ok to use as long it was a still day and you were careful to rinse the car off properly and keep the blade clean. The only time I ever marked a car was when it was bloody windy and grit would stick to the wet paint- I pointed out the dangers of cleaning the cars in such weather but the manager couldn't have cared less!

I'd never use one on a car I really cared about but if you run a daily shed then it's perfect?
