Buy and steering wheel lock i.e. a DiscLock, a Stoplock won't fit the E89s wheel as I found out, don't park in dodgy areas at night or on the street, garage the car if possible at night and check with your insurer that your car is covered if your car is stolen via access to the OBD. Then relax and forget about it.

The E89 falls in the least desirable camp compared to X5 and X6 and the M135i especially in Coventry at the moment.

I used my disclok on my E92 330d LCI ... and now on my E89. Yes, a pain, but reassuring if the car is left.

Yeah mines a hangover from my E88 1 Coupe days which is why I bought it because of the perceived OBD access issues.
