You're welcome. The cases they showed were bad for the drivers! And when I got my own renewal from Diamond at the end of last year, which had increased, I also checked online, using the same details, and the quote from my current insurer was less online! By about £80 I think! Bit frustrating really. You would think a company would want to reward loyalty.
I hate the time wasted using stupid comparison websites. Quite often, you have to check the quote and details when you click through to the insurer's site, and more often than not, at that point, the cost changes and goes up.

i wander where all the money is going because its not spent on the roads 
I have been looking at changing insurance companies. I have been using all of the comparison sites and the difference between them is about 30 pounds these have fluctuated. i tried the insures website and this cam out more... that was last week (its is due next) did it again this morning and it has dropped another 50 quid.... maybe i wait till next week at this rate they will be paying me :roll:

If you are just going to renew from you renewal notice and not shop around then you deserve to pay the extra, cos your obviously happy to do so.
The insurance companies are cashing in on the idle mugs, good luck to them.I have no sympathy.
I once checked on Confused and found a £200 cheaper policy with the same company than they quoted me in the renewal. I phoned and got the cheaper price, do the work get the savings. be lazy and pay more, thats what you are paying extra for.
My dad always used the Pru, cos he was set in his ways and paid the price, Who's the fool? just become the new customer again and benefit.
Just doing mine now Admiral were the cheapest back then, now they are not, renewal is ridiculous, got another £200 knocked off by phoning them but I can still get it cheaper elsewhere and I will move.

I had a weird one this year, my renewal price was A LOT cheaper than anyone else would offer, went on my insurers website and put my details in as a new customer and the quote was double! Renewed online in case their renewal offer was a mistake! That said, still up £30 on last year!
