Could not believe reading this ... Katie Price provided with a rolling road block behind her and Surrey Police agreed with the officer's actions.

Wouldnt happen in Newcastle, she turned up at Waterstones lat year and once the chavtastic crew had thier books signed the rest of us couldnt wait for her to p**s off.

I reckon there is more to the story than meets the eye. The fact that the photographer is overtaken by the police in the video, giving a RR time to pull away, seems to me like harassment.

Personally I can't stand the woman, but the reporting looks suspect.

Well its not up to the police to make an on the spot judgement about stuff like that.....they will come up with b/s stuff about public order or whatever but its totally inexcusable for that piece of trailer trash to get such treatment....

I'm no Katie Price fan but you all seem keen to accept the Daily Mail's version without question. Could the events leading up to the police using a rolling road block have justified their actions in the interest of safety? Until you are in possession of the full facts don't be too fast to accept what is in the press as accurate.

Suprise Suprise that Old Slapper is in the News Again  give us a break you old slapper jump off a cliff

But whatever the reason, there are two facts there:

- Her car is in front of the road block
- Everyone else is behind and is being delayed because of her

Ignore any reporting type / style / reason whatever, this happened and it should never happen. There are lots of famous people about that do not get police escorts like that. If this is the case, she should use alternative transport but this should not have been done.

cant stand the woman but the real cause of this is the media, they need to stop giving her a living!! its crap like this that keeps her on tv, if there were no photographers waiting on her then there would be no rolling road block. just ignore the attention grabbing idiot.

My point is that you don't know what prompted the police to act like that. If it was merely to protect a third rate celebrity from the press than my sentiments are entirely with you. If, however, the press were acting/driving in a manner, in pursuit of their pray, where other road users were being put at risk, would it not justify some intervention? I've no idea from that article as to what preceded that video clip and wouldn't be prepared to slate the police on the basis of seeing that and reading the article.

Then take the press cars off the road only or get her to take a minor single carriage way route where no one can overtake, or get the police car to drive behind her and any press car driving dangerously can then be sent a NIP (unlikely if there is a police car there that they would do that anyway). Blocking a main artery into London is not acceptable to me.

Photographer Ben Benjilali said, "It was like a mad pursuit". For me that starts to explain why the police did what they did but, you're right pvr, why not charge the clowns who are driving the pursuing cars. Anyway we're short of such celebrities up here so seldom have to be worried about being delayed like this. You're so fortunate down south to have such problems. :D

Simple dont drive around in a big 4x4 with you private plate on if you dont want to be harassed. No rolling road block just nick the chasing paps ,if done regular it may be a bit of a deterrent, and for Harvey maybe his dad could take up his parental rolls a bit more .

This woman is so far up her own a***s she hasn't seen day light for years. :x
