Washing your car this weekend?

The maximum temperature will be just above 0 C this weekend. I did wash my car once under such temperature, and the shampoo/water froze on the paintwork. I haven't washed my car for weeks, and really want to do it on Sunday.

Snowfall will stay for 2 weeks in the north. Will anyone attempt to wash the car up there? :D
 
I popped out to my garage this evening, it's zero here, put on the heater, clayed and carnuba waxed it lol. Love this car cover, wash one day, next wax :) doubt I would wash though. Just wash with warm water and chammy off, job done.
 
Washed my car the other week in about 2-3C. Using warm water kept my fingers from dropping off. But once its on the sponge and spread thin across the metal, it cools down rapidly. After a week of commuting and its filthy again. Either I'll used a drive thru machine or give the Poles a good tip!!

I recommend a car wash (one that does it all wash and dry indoors).
 
Mine hasnt been washed in over 3 weeks now.. and i'll be off most of Dec so this is the last weekend i'll be able to wash it this year...... Was contemplating driving to my parents in London to wash it.. but the tmeperature isnt meant to be much warmer there :(
 
I did try to wash mine earlier in the week when a potential buyer was coming to view it. I did manage to wash it, but I had to have hot water mixed into the hose/bucket otherwise the shampoo suds were freezing as they made contact with the car, and the sno-foam didn't remove anywhere near as much muck as normal - although that could also have been due to the car not being particularly dirty.

Couldn't even dry it properly in the end as the water was just freezing on the bodywork :headbang:

In the end I took it for a run to warm everything up, and then gave it a rinse over, a coating of quick detailer, and a final buff.

Unfortunately whilst I was buffing I found a couple of stone chips that I'll have to get done - and the potential buyer phoned up in the afternoon to say that he wasn't coming due to the weather, and when I said I'd wait for his phone call in warmer conditions he simply said "We'll see!"?
 
My car needs washing. Not done it for 2 weeks now but the hose pipe is frozen now so looks like I will be driving a dirty car for a few months unless it thaws a bit! I'm sure it can take it!! :P I'd rather stay warm myself than try and clean a car in this weather!

Mind you there is a good (by reputation) hand wash place not far from me so may get them to do it while I stay in the warm watching! :P

Yup, same thing happened to me once when I washed it in such temperatures. It put me off doing it again!

It's really filthy at the moment though so I may get it in one of the units on my yard next week. I hate seeing her in such a state!
 
Managed to a coat of wax on it last weekend, Iv been using Autoglyms high defenition , It was buy one get one free during the summer . Washed it today , its a friday ritual , as I was drying of it was starting to freeze, however nice an clean an shiny for the weekend . :)

That's my plan for tomorrow. The poor thing hasn't been washed in weeks due to work and crap weather. I've got three days off now so I'll need to see what excuse I can come up with tomorrow...
