Not yet, but with the consistent mention of a few key brands it does show Zed owners appreciate quality
Bought the Miele stuff as it came with 10 years warranty.
The AEG before that was fine, but lasted about 8 years before a deathly fault developed making it not economical to repair. The aggro of not having a washing machine made me buy Miele to ensure it does not go down (well, Mrs PVR wanted it and for a quiet life ... )

+1 for a Miele man... W5740 was recommended... supa simple to use, been ultra reliable & also the quietest machine I've ever had.
6 years on, they're still making the same model & still rated as one of the best they do between budget & high end...

Just connect the hose to the cold water feed (dishwasher ) and both cold and hot (if available) for washing machine.
The exhaust pipe goes in the waste pipe (usually has a support plastic U bend).
Shifting it is the issue due to the weight
Hey pvr - but doesn't the washing machine have travelling bolts?

:x I thought after the bolts are removed some others have to be put in, correctly. Would instructions for lovely Bosch or Miele have that much detail? Ja?
Bit late to the party on this one, but
Washing machine - LG direct drive, £8kg, cost about £350. Does all the weighing / water saving stuff and is very, very quiet. In fact when I plugged it in and did a test run with nothing in it virtually all I could hear was the water sloshing around. I was gobsmacked - almost wanted to relocate it from the garage to the kitchen
Dishwasher - Hotpoint Aquarius FDL570 (I am sitting in the kitchen...) - also very quiet, tells you when it is running out of salt etc., dishes always clean. The utensils basket has been disappointing as it has snapped in a few places on the base, and sometime times something will poke through and prevent the washer blade wotsit from spinning :x has plenty of space though, and adjustable storage :roll: Mrs Bing has such bad spacial awareness that she is incapable of packing a dishwasher, so I do it, hence my interest...
I would love to stretch to Meile or Bosche, but not quite there yet...
As for willy waving, the fridge has to be the Daddy of all waving opportunities... Just wait till I have to replace my 12 year old (and very nearly dead) Samsung fridge and ask opinions on here - I bet someone will have a walk-in one somewhere :lol:

Hi all. A delayed response however I am very happy to say we got new washing maching and dishwasher in the end! After some deliberation! A Bosch for both, and Mum is quite happy! Both are ever so quiet!
One thing, if you use gel capsule washing liquid, some remnants get stuck to the inside of the washing machine door, in between the glass and the rubber.
