Washed car - water in headlight - help

Did you completely dry out the light before refitting the seal if not the condensation will keep coming back.
I dried it out as much as I could - 15 mins with a hairdryer lens was 98% clear one droplet seen in corner at far right by indicator light, but that was all,the rest evaporated, now its worse than ever,despite reversing seal and taking time to line it up before pushing clips back
You really need new backs and seals I think - they're not expensive. The seals are fecked whichever way round you put them, just get the nice squishy new ones.
Also, when I dried mine out I gave them a minute or so on the cold setting on the hair dryer at the end - theory being that the warm air has the water evaporated into it, and when it cooled the condensation could come back. So the cold air blows the warm wet air out. Been fine since

You might also want to check that the retaining section on the headlight isn't bust - they are a weak point on the headlight so can let water in - and check that you have all 3 grommets on the rear (B63.12.6.928.409). These aren't cheap though, they're £8.74 each!!

When you say the retaining section, where is this located and also the three grommets? - I used the how to guide off here, so tbh didn't pay much attention to what was where (esp as the 1st time I did it, it was almost dark), 2nd time was two days later and thats when I reversed the seal, however this was what it looked like this morning:-
Think Ill just order a new one and see if that cures it, is the forum discount for the aforementioned dealer (Sopers, Lincoln) - since Im Lancashire,they would have to post it, so my local stealers may be as cheap in end?!

Out of interest, what do the grommets do, as looking closer at the pics they are outside of the area that the backcover fits over, im assuming that the problem is the back cover seal,maybe its not actually that, but for a little over £10 its worth trying,I have also come across reference that on Xenon models there is a vented area - though I would have thought this would not be in or around the area where the back cover sits or there would be no point creating a seal!?
