When Top Gear did the S4 vs. M3 years ago it was in this color

I looked up the Z3 color and it is called "Dakaryellow" and it was a standard color.

IIRC, Dakar yellow was available for non-M Z3's color, but I believe the Phoenix Yellow (the more greenish metallic color) was only available on the "M" roadsters.
The 10,000th Z4 was painted Phoenix Yellow also, and was on display at the factory for a while.

yeah dakar is a lot brighter, it was available on the E36 M3 and I believe a few E34 M5's believe it or not. Phoenix is more greenish. Anyway this car is at a local dealer here in MN (actually where I purchased my Z4 from), and I was just surprised.

I wasn't available in the states when I bought my car (Sept 06) but was available in the rest of the world as an individual package color.

PHOENIX YELLOW! Yep, thats me alright. This really is a love it or hate it colour. I know of no other Coupes in this colour, but know there are a few 'verts in the colour. Mine has the fully yellow interior treatment too!
