Warranty

Hi,

Hopefully buying a 2003 Z4 3.0i SE at the weekend as was wondering if anybody had any advice on getting a warranty and with which company - hopefully will never have a ned for it but it may be useful.

I think Warrant Direct has a fairly good record but there are several I believe.

Personally I just take a punt.

do a search in the forum it's been covered before. i think most go with BMW comp one.

BMW Comprehensive cover, Nil Excess. £520 12m

Click5Warranty - 5 Star cover. £10 excess £616.41 for 36 months :!:

Seams too good to be true. Printing off all the terms and conditions now. The "betterment" clause maybe interesting :wink:

Click 4 warranty, read the small print, they do not cover the built in sat nav, mate of mine had his stepper motor go on the sat nav, they would not pay, as it was part of the navigation?? another mate of mine had a gear box problem on a Honda and they refused to pay at first saying it was wear and tear, on a car with 38000 on the clock. after threatening lagal action , they reluctantly conceded, but he still had to pay £100 as they have different excess on different items relating to milage.

I did a lot of searching around and eventually stayed with BMW, never had a problem with them.
