Warranty Work! Success

Morning all,

Thought I would let you all know the success I have had claiming through warranty instead of the usual moans!

Firstly I have an M so these may not apply to all of you.

I put my car in to be checked over as I thought the VANOS sounded a little loud, what came out of it was my "Vacuum pump" needed replacing. Not entirely sure what this does on the S54 engine but the car feels no different.....

I had a rattle somewhere in the cabin, turns out my A pillar was warped. After 3 replacements I finally have one that doesn't rattle and fits properly!

The M door sill were showing wear to the lacquer where there was a rubber gromit on the base of each door rubbing them. These were replaced under "goodwill" but it is a design fault so they had to cover it really.

BMW also curbed my CSL wheel..... Understandably I shed a tear, they did however rectify the issue and now the wheel looks brand new again. 8)

All of the above free.

So, a message just to say that even if they claim "Trim is not covered sir" if you follow the customer services route they will certainly cover it.

Thanks,

Jack

My original warranty is up at the end of this month - then my BMW extended warranty kicks in, I'm dreading finding things that are 'no longer covered'...result for you though!

Good Result - Nice one!

You are lucky they only curbed your wheels. BMW reversed a Mini at speed into the side of my old Z3 when I took it in for repair (someone else had driven into the front of it already! Not my week!!) :o

The guy reversed out of the workshop like he was in the Italian job! They had only just finished repairing the original damage to the Mini!

My wife, who was pregnant at the time had just stepped out of our car!
