Morning all,
Thought I would let you all know the success I have had claiming through warranty instead of the usual moans!
Firstly I have an M so these may not apply to all of you.
I put my car in to be checked over as I thought the VANOS sounded a little loud, what came out of it was my "Vacuum pump" needed replacing. Not entirely sure what this does on the S54 engine but the car feels no different.....
I had a rattle somewhere in the cabin, turns out my A pillar was warped. After 3 replacements I finally have one that doesn't rattle and fits properly!
The M door sill were showing wear to the lacquer where there was a rubber gromit on the base of each door rubbing them. These were replaced under "goodwill" but it is a design fault so they had to cover it really.
BMW also curbed my CSL wheel..... Understandably I shed a tear, they did however rectify the issue and now the wheel looks brand new again. 8)
All of the above free.
So, a message just to say that even if they claim "Trim is not covered sir" if you follow the customer services route they will certainly cover it.
Thanks,
Jack
