Warranty Repair time

Had the call today.

Went to pick up in my lunch hour..

Found 11 faults in the paintwork, went into meltdown...needless to say I'm back in the courtesy car..

Yuck indeed...

I was told the manager would call me when he returned from lunch..
Of course that never happened....

What a shoddy bunch they are, very unprofessional and customer service is poor....

Im not even gonna call,im just gonna wait now...God knows how long!

Mine went in Tuesday for what I was told to be an assessment of the tailgate. Found out 2 hours alter that it had gone in for repair. Next day got a call saying that it's going to be later than expected as they were arguing over the tailgate. Be told now that it "may" be replaced instead of repair. May not get it back now till possibly next week.

Had the call...

Very apologetic, agreed with all my points and agreed to rectify problems..

Hopefully back Thursday..

Nearly a month all in .. Not good enough

Just thought i would update this now we are in November.

Had the call yesterday morning that the car was done.

Went to Williams Stockport again and car was sheeted in the workshop... Had a look at the problems i had picked up before, they had indeed been rectified.

Went back into reception and did the essential paperwork and handover.

Got it home around 4pm and had a real decent crawl over the car....2 blebs in the paintwork,i could live with that (just)....

But there is a black shadow about the size of my hand could be seen through the paint..Looks like the dark primer was bleeding through the basecoat.you could draw a definative line around it.

Back onto the bodyshop and its back in AGAIN..

Also waiting for return call off the dealer principal....... Im not sure what im going to say to him to be honest, but he needs to know the situation.

There's a lot to be said for sticking to tried & tested sources that 9 times out of 10 are owner ran , though not possible under warranty work  a pi$$er indeed

Oh... We use 2 bodyshops that are superb, probably half the price too..

Its an avenue im going to suggest to the DP,that i get it sorted elsewhere and BMW can pick up the bill...

Ooooo like to hear how that goes

Went into BMW Stockport when I first started shopping for a Z4 35i. Sat in the car, no one came to ask me for assistance. Went over to one of the sales people and asked them if they could put the roof up in the car.

Got chatting about what I was looking for, gave details etc. Heard nothing..!!

Blimey! I've just had a recall on the bike - fuel pump problems which can cause a leak apparently. It was a toss up between taking it to Stockport or Southport Superbikes, Stockport is a bit nearer so was going to ring them tomorrow.......... I think that call will be going to Superbikes now. I would NOT be happy with that level of service from a so called premium car dealership.
