Warranty question.

Hi

When I brought my car (Z4C 3.0si 2008) the dealer (non BMW) gave me a years warranty through Warrantywise. It's the platinum warranty which covers pretty much everything and all works carried out at BMW.

I'm thinking about extending the warranty for a further year to two years and wondered if anyone has had any experience with Warrantywise? and if it is a worth extending for another year?

Thanks
Tom.

I'd say check the price against warranty direct an BMW and if you're happy and want the peace of mind, go for it.

Quite a few members just put the money into a car account in case they need it rather than taking a warranty

See, I thought about that but its only £350 for the further year so if something big goes wrong this isn't going to cover much!

True-at the stealers that would pay for 3 diagnostics

That's about a half to a third of the cost of Warranty Direct or BMW insurance backed (Mondial)! I wonder how they are if you ever have to make a claim...

Edit - Just looked at their website. I'm going to give the a whirl on my S-Max as it''s warranty expires in June and I want to hang onto it. I shall ask Ford how much and try them and Warranty Direct and see how they stack up.

I got a quote for my car via BMW's website, full cover with emergency support, £448 for a year!I think with £100 excess, the price was £363 with £250 excess.

A BMW Warranty will probably be about the same price and I bet a lot less hassle/cover more, just go with that tbh.

Thanks for the replies.

Gone with Warrantywise as it was a reasonable price (in comparison), it covers everything and any work that needs doing I can get done at my local BMW dealer.
