warranty options?

Morning all,

If I buy a used Z4 from a non franchised dealer what warranty options are available?

Alternatively if I buy from a franchised dealer how much does it cost to maintain the BMW warranty and what are the mileage / age limits? I did ask at my local BMW dealership but they wouldn't or couldn't provide the information I was looking for.

how old is the car in question? has it been serviced? what is the mileage?

If I know correctly, if it still has manufacturer's warranty left on it and (in case) been serviced by BMW dealer, you can extend the warranty by contacting BMW (phone/website) or use 3rd party warranty providers.

independent garages do their own warranty schemes which differ from garage to garage.
